Thanks to a heads-up from the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce. The Institute for Legal Reform ranks Alaska as 13th in the nation for fairness in its litigation environment. The ranking is a big improvement from 33rd place two years ago and is broken out in ten different areas.
Alaska's sub-rankings ranged from a high of 1st in discovery to a low of 20th in judge's impartiality. Half the sub-rankings were in the top ten.
